Do you often challenge yourself? New ways of doing business, or approaching a situation, are sometimes uncomfortable for us. We're creatures of habit, and most of us are somewhat fearful of change. But if you play it "safe" by doing what you've always done, or the way you've always done it (whatever "it" might be), you'll never get to the next level Successful people look at uncertain situations as opportunities for growth, not something to be feared. Don't worry about the unknown,... like what might happen. Focus on the positive. View every obstacle as an opportunity, and learn something new from it. You can never "fail", as long as you learn something from your efforts. And most people learn more from their perceived "failures" than from their successes Personally, I've found that 99.9 percent of the time, what I worry about never happens. Don't waste time worrying. How about networking? This is a really good example for many of us. At first, it might be really uncomfortable for you, but like anything, the more you do it, the better and easier it will be. And look at it this way. Networking is an excellent replacement for cold calling, and networking can lead to referrals.

Many people never go after their dreams for a better life because they are afraid of change. The fact is that most of the time you cannot move ahead without leaving something behind. If you are not getting what you want out of life, you have to change your approach to it. To get what you want, you have to become the person who deserves it. And that means changing attitudes, maybe even changing important parts of your life. Stedman Graham |
