Imagine your perfect day at work. Run through the entire scenario in your head. Maybe you gain some new clients, do business with clients that you haven't done business with in years, get referrals, whatever it might be. You need to feed these positive images and ideas to your brain. Do this on a regular (daily) basis, and you'll find that your brain will start developing new ideas and ways to reach your goals seemingly on it's own.
Here's an example of my experience recently. As you may or may not know, I recently got a BMW. Several months ago, I actually wrote this down as a goal that I wanted to achieve. Not only that, but I had also written down a specific time frame to accomplish this. Well, out of the blue, an opportunity presented itself, and I was able to reach this goal more quickly than I had anticipated. Now, the truth is that there's a little bit more involved in this, and I actually had a couple more elements (so I thought) that needed to be fulfilled before I believed that the goal would actually be reached, but, that was the first time I had tried this idea. (It's taught in detail in the Napoleon Hill classic "Think and Grow Rich"). Coincidence? Maybe. Would I have reached this goal if I hadn't actually followed this theory and written it down? Maybe. But the reasoning behind goal setting makes perfect sense.
Your brain is like a computer. It needs to be fed positive thoughts and images to produce positive results. Set definite goals for yourself.
How are you supposed to reach your goal, ANY goal, if you don't even know what it is? How will you know when you get there?
